- Play fair. Only record games that really happened, with the real score.
- Be decent. Use respectful names and notes, and only add guests who are okay being listed.
- Ratings are for fun. They're not official ratings and can be recalculated.
- Play at your own risk. We keep score; we don't run courts or events.

1. Agreeing to these terms
Pickleball Log Lite (the "site") is provided by the organizers of Pickleball Log Lite ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. When you create an account (or accept an updated version), we record the date, time and version you agreed to. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. Who can use the site
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- One account per person. Don't create accounts for other people or share yours.
- Give accurate account information and keep your email address up to date so you can receive account emails.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. We may require you to confirm your email address before you can sign in.
4. Playing fair
The scorebook only works if everyone can trust it. When you use the site, you agree to:
- Only record games that were actually played, with the correct score and players.
- Not create fake accounts or guests, or arrange results, to manipulate ratings, rankings or milestones.
- Confirm scores honestly and only dispute a score you genuinely believe is wrong.
- Only add a guest who is happy to be listed, using a name they'd be comfortable with.
- Use display names, notes and session names that aren't offensive, harassing, hateful, sexual, or impersonating someone else.
- Respect the site's limits, such as the 2-registered-player rule and daily limits, and not try to get around them.
Session organizers and site administrators can correct scores, resolve disputes, rename or remove content, and recalculate ratings to keep results accurate.
5. Using the site responsibly
Don't:
- Try to access accounts, data or admin pages that aren't yours.
- Interfere with the site, for example by overloading it, probing for security holes, or using automated tools to scrape or submit data.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to collect other players' information.
- Upload or enter anything that infringes someone else's rights.
6. Your content
"Your content" means what you enter: your profile, display name, scores, session details, guest names and notes. You keep whatever rights you have in it.
So we can run the site, you give us permission to store, display and process your content, including showing game results, ratings and display names publicly as described in the Privacy Policy, and to keep game records that other players' history depends on. This permission continues for game records after you delete your account, though you can choose to have your name anonymized when you delete it.
7. Ratings, rankings and milestones
- Elo ratings, win chances, rankings and milestones are estimates for fun and friendly competition, calculated only from games recorded on this site.
- They are not official ratings and aren't affiliated with or endorsed by USA Pickleball, DUPR, or any other rating or governing body. Don't rely on them for tournament entry or any official purpose.
- We may change how they're calculated and recalculate them from history at any time, which can change your rating, ranking or milestones.
8. Physical activity and events
Pickleball is a physical sport with a risk of injury. The site only helps you organize games and keep score. We don't run, supervise or insure sessions, courts or events, and we aren't responsible for venues, equipment, other players' conduct, or any injury, loss or damage that happens while playing. You take part at your own risk. Check with a doctor if you're unsure whether you're fit to play.
9. Availability and changes to the site
The site is provided free of charge. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, and we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We try to keep your data safe, but please don't use the site as the only record of anything important to you.
10. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the organizers of Pickleball Log Lite and anyone helping run the site won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the site. Because the site is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you; nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
12. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the site at any time and delete your account in Account settings → Your data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account, remove content, or block access if someone breaks these terms, manipulates results, or puts other users or the site at risk. Sections 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13 continue to apply after an account is closed.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator of this site is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top, and signed-in players will be asked to review and accept the new version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
